Over the summer, JV received an email from one of our previous co-op student employees regarding his experience working here at DJVI and how it helped him to get where he finds himself today. The email, though unexpected, was greatly appreciated. We are glad to hear that our former employee’s time here was influential and helpful since his graduation. We wanted to share it here because it really means a great deal to us and the work that we do.
Below, please see the email (included here omitting his name and personal details):
I just want to say thank you for all the help, advice and guidance I received from you and other colleagues at DJVI during my coop internship last year. It was my first exposure to the field of HVAC engineering and it has essentially put me into this career path. I graduated last month and I am currently working as a mechanical project engineer at a similar consulting engineer company in New York City.
I definitely need more practice and experience to improve in this field, but I'm very thankful of the opportunity I had at DJVI that started me off. Not only did I get to learn about HVAC and relevant knowledge, but also I got to witness and experience various scopes of the projects, which has been very helpful in my transition to work after graduation. I also appreciate you for being considerate and encouraging throughout my coop internship. It was my first real work outside of school and I enjoyed interning at such a supportive work environment.
Thank you again for everything and I look forward to hearing from you.
