DJVI provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for the 100,000-square-foot Alan Horwitz “Sixth Man” Center – a world-class facility designed to designed to provide a safe space for youth, caregivers, and community members to access basketball and non-basketball programming and resources.
The $36M project brings numerous community rooms, board room, mental health spaces, a retail store to a central location for the community. The flexible design allows for stadium seating to move into place to create a 1,200-seat stadium court that can be used for tournament play. The project includes seven basketball courts, Healthy Foods Café, an Education Suite, a Boardroom (seating for 30 with A/V), as well as a Civic Dialogue Arena (seating for 80 with A/V).
